About Ken Burrows Ltd - Electrician Nottingham

In 1919 Ken Burrows established his business as an electrical contractor in Hucknall, Nottingham and was the ‘oldest established electrical contractor in the town’ with an electrical shop opposite the Market Place and an office and workshop on Ogle Street.

In 1964 the company was registered as a limited company and in the 1970s came under the control of W. E. Brown and re-located to its present premises on Ogle Street, Hucknall.

Harald Stone bought the business in 1983 and continued to develop and expand it during his ownership to deliver the best in electrical installation services throughout the East Midlands.

On Harald’s retirement in 1990 ownership passed to Andrew and Clare Stone up until August 2016. On September 1st 2016 Ken Burrows Ltd came under the new ownership of Tony Jackson, Sally Jackson and Richard Kirk who continue to adhere to the standards, service and reliability for which Ken Burrows Ltd is known.

We now employ a team of highly trained JIB graded, experienced electrical engineers. All electricians are fully qualified Electricians or Approved Electricians and in addition hold an Inspection and Testing qualification.

Our employees are IPAF and PASMA licence holders and our company is approved to install Hellermann Tyton data cabling. All employees receive continual training to ensure adherence to the latest electrical regulations and guidelines and are all ECS (CSCS Affiliated) card holders.

We actively support the electrical contracting industry and regularly employ apprentices during their four year training programme in conjunction with the JTL. Many of those apprentices have remained with us and have progressed to Approved Electricians and as a result have built up long term relationships with our clients and have a detailed knowledge of their electrical installations and working practices.

Our electricians are regularly subjected to Health and Safety Assessments and Disclosure and Barring Service checks to ensure our client’s complete confidence, safety and peace of mind. As a member of the N.I.C.E.I.C. our company and a selection of our electrical work is inspected annually to ensure our continued competence and compliance.
