VE Day - Celebrating 70 Years

Victory in Europe couldn’t come soon enough for Harald Stone. He made his way back overland by train returning to his home town of Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. During the war he had served in the navy on the submarines and undertaken his electrical engineering apprenticeship.
On his return home he heard that Ken Burrows was looking for an electrician. The business was in Hucknall but that wasn’t a problem he could catch the no. 84 bus and get off at the Market Place. His interview was on Friday and he started work the foll...

LED panels have been installed in place of the existing light fittings providing energy saving lighting and giving all the function rooms and bar area a face-lift for 2015.

The investment in the new LED fittings will reduce energy and maintenance costs while still giving an excellent light output for the many varied functions and...

When is a Bus not a Bus?

Ding! Ding! tickets please!

We carry out numerous electrical installations and electrical repairs in schools. Our job sheets often give the name of the classroom we are due to work in rather than just the class number or teacher’s name and there are certainly some enticing names but the best so far is the Double Decker Bus Classroom!

Cash strapped schools with rising numbers are looking at alternative ways to create extra teaching spaces without the need for costly extensions. The double decker bus fills this need and is a bright, ...
